Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, member of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Dubai Media Incorporated, crowned “De Siraj” with the title of the golden stallion of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship in Its 20th session, which the curtain fell on its competitions yesterday, was hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center for three days, and its total prize money amounted to four million dollars, with participation that attracted 151 local and international horses.

“De Siraj”, owned by the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, was able to beat seven competing stallions in the main round to win a prize of $275,000.

The stallion “AJ Kafu” of the Ajman Stud came in second place and won a financial prize of 165 thousand dollars, while the stallion “AS Prince” of Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi came in third place and won 60 thousand dollars.

The Dubai Arabian Horse Stud topped the tournament after winning eight different medals: four golds, one silver and three bronzes.

The Ajman stud came second with six medals, two golds, three silvers and one bronze. Dr. Ghanem Al-Hajri won a silver medal, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al-Qasimi won one bronze, the Qatari Al-Wajba stud won one silver, and Al-Shaqab stud won a bronze.

Sultan Khalifa Al Yahyai, ​​a member of the Higher Organizing Committee for the Dubai Horse Beauty Championship, revealed that there are some changes that will be introduced to the tournament system, starting from the next edition.

He told “Emirates Today”: “Change has become a requirement for development and preference and to maintain the status of the Dubai Horse Beauty Championship, as one of the most important tournaments in the world, if not the best at all.”

He added, “When we decided to seek the help of impartial referees from different countries, the goal was to apply the highest standards of transparency in selecting the winners, and when we decided that the arbitration be electronic, so that each referee presents his scores to the participating horses and is announced directly to the attendees and the masses, confirm to the owners and stable owners the extent of the committee’s keenness The supreme organization organizing the championship is to apply the highest standards of justice among all, with complete impartiality.
