The Golden Ball Gala: we know all the winners!

One of the most important football events in 2021 took place on November 29. At the Paris Theater du Chatelet, Leo Messi was awarded the seventh Golden Ball in his career. The organizers also awarded several other awards, and Robert Lewandowski was also among the honored.

This award was given to the best athlete of 2021 up to the age of 21. At a gala at the Paris Theater du Chatelet, it was presented by the legendary Italian stopwatch Fabio Cannavaro, who in 2006 won the Golden Ball.

Prize them. Raymond Kopa fell into the hands of young Pedri. The 19-year-old Barcelona player played in all matches of the Spanish national team at Euro 2020 and won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Moments after receiving the award by Pedri, Robert Lewandowski was chosen the best striker in 2021. Considering the fact that “Lewy” is by far the most effective sniper of this year, this distinction is in no way surprising. The Pole took them from Didier Drogba.

The award for the best female player in the world was awarded only for the third time in history. In 2021, the Barcelona footballer Alexia Putellas deserved the Women’s Golden Ball. The 27-year-old player defends the colors of the Spanish national team.

The award for the best goalkeeper of the year was received by none other than European champion Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian goalkeeper was voted Euro 2020’s best footballer and moved to French giant PSG this summer. This award seems to be well deserved.

The award for the best team of 2021 was, of course, awarded to London’s Chelsea, who triumphed in the Champions League last season. Thomas Tuchel’s team defeated Manchester City in the Champions League final.

The main prize of the evening went to Argentinian Leo Messi. The PSG star overtook Robert Lewandowski, who for the first time in his career was on the podium of the “France Football” plebiscite. It was the seventh Golden Ball in his career for the Argentine.
