The giant slalom in Sölden leads after the 1st round Caviezel, Krýzl did not advance

The 28-year-old Caviezel, who was the sixth best in the World Championships so far, beat the biggest favorites in the first race. The second is with a gap of six hundredths of a second Slovenian Žan Kranjec, another four hundredths back Nor Henrik Kristoffersen and with a gap of 15 hundredths is the fourth winner of the previous two giant slaloms in Sölden Alexis Pinturault from France. The fastest 14 skiers fit in one second.

Right at the beginning, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde from Norway, who fell and did not finish the ride, will lose his biggest rivals to the holder of a big crystal globe from the prematurely closed last season.
