Interesting spy photos that come from around the Hyundai headquarters in Germany. A prototype of the new 2022 Genesis GV70e, the electric version of the Korean brand’s latest sports SUV, appears in tests in Europe, following several sightings in South Korea. Genesis’ first D-segment electric SUV will arrive in 2022.
Genesis has already moved on your arrival in Europe during 2021 and at the same time, the Korean luxury brand continues to develop new models and mechanical variants to offer a comprehensive range on par with European rivals. The last big news are spy photos from the future Genesis GV70e 2022.
It will be the first zero-emission SUV to be added to a range with six electric cars by 2025, skipping the previous step of electrification with plug-in hybrids. The most efficient Genesis GV70 appears completely camouflaged, sporting some specific features, such as the radiator grille that is featured fully enclosed with a panel that reproduces the chrome ridged mesh design.

A design that we have also seen in the G80e prototype hunted around the headquarters that the brand, and Hyundai, have at the Nürburgring, and to which it adds the absence of rear exhaust and the protector that covers the lower central part of the rear, the area in the rear where part of the battery is usually found. These are the elements that will differentiate this version from combustion of the SUV, along with a new design of the alloy wheels.
Inside, the Genesis GV70e will also maintain the attractive and luxurious design of the dashboard, including the transmission tunnel, although the volume of the trunk will be reduced by the placement of the battery under the rear seats and part of the trunk. For now, the mechanical setup hidden under the body is unknown, but it points to two electric motors and all-wheel drive, along with a battery that will offer autonomy for 500 kilometers.
The new GV70e is part of the six new electric cars that the Korean brand plans to launch until the middle of the decade, joining the future G70e, G90e, GV80e, and GV90e that will arrive successively. The first will be the G80e sighted a few months ago, and whose adjustment and tuning is more advanced. The GV70e is expected to be unveiled later this year and on sale in 2022..
