For the gendarmes of Eure-et-Loir, like their counterparts in the Centre-Val de Loire, weekends are regularly synonymous with retention of driving licenses and vehicles that go to the pound.
Speeding is indeed not only legion but above all more and more hallucinating in some cases, recently 260 or even 270 km/h have been recorded.
A 1600 horsepower monster!
Ce Saturday, July 2, 2022the soldiers evoke on their facebook pagean unusual encounter that the gendarmes of the Thivars highway peloton near Chartres.
The latter have indeed intercepted a rarity as they detail:
A vehicle produced in twelve copies in the world, a Bugatti Chiron 300 SS of 1600 horsepower.
As much to say a supercar » from this legendary manufacturer capable of reaching 420 km/h… in a restricted version because it reached 490 km/h with an 8-litre W16 engine.
The owner of this rarity has been verified on theA11 motorway at 184 km/h, for a speed limit imposed on this axis of 130 km/h maximum.
The driver was given a notice of retention of driver’s license and had to pay a fine for not respecting the speed limit.
