The gateway law extended to seniors “in order to put an end to this inequitable situation”

Minister Denis Ducarme said he wanted “more social equity for these independents over 65”.

The self-employed over 65 who are still working will also be able to benefit from the bridge right. This is what the Minister in charge of the Independents, Denis Ducarme (MR), tells us. He has just signed a circular to this effect. The self-employed who continue their activity beyond 65 without yet taking their pension will thus be able to benefit from the bridge right at the full rate. The measure comes into force immediately with retroactive effect from March 1.
