the “full” appointment schedule for the next few weeks

Guest of BFM Lyon this Monday morning, Prof. Claude Dussart took stock of the progress of the HCL campaign and assured that new niches would be offered.

The vaccination campaign is apparently a victim of its success. Open to over 75 years since Monday, vaccination is the subject of a “real massive demand to register and make appointments”, said Monday morning on BFM Lyon Professor Claude Dussart, head of central pharmacy department and vaccination coordinator at the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL).

As a result of this influx, “for the next few weeks, the appointment schedule is complete,” said the health professional. However, without an appointment, it is currently impossible to be vaccinated.

The health professional is nevertheless reassuring: “We are reworking active queues to open up new slots and adapt the appointment proposals according to demand”.

“We achieved our goals”

For Prof. Claude Dussart, the vaccination campaign was “very actively” engaged at the Hospices Civils de Lyon. In the nursing homes of Lyon’s public hospitals, “we are 100% of residents who wanted to be vaccinated who were,” said the person concerned.

“Concerning the health professionals of the HCL, we had identified approximately 9000 people who were in the population of more than 50 years or at risk. We started with a figure of 6000 people who wanted to be vaccinated very quickly. achieved our goals now “.

In total, four vaccination centers have opened in Lyon: at the Croix-Rousse hospital, at the Edouard Herriot hospital, at the Lyon Sud hospital and at the Gerland sports center. In the metropolis, other sites will open in the coming days. This will be the case in Vénissieux on Monday, in Villeurbanne on January 19 or even in Saint-Priest and Bron on January 25.
