The fourth Bundesliga matchday is spread over several dates

In the basketball Bundesliga, a double day (Friday / Sunday) was scheduled after the international break with the European Championship qualifying games. This will not take place as originally planned. This does not affect the game of the BG Göttingen on Friday, December 4th, at the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim. It will start at 8:30 p.m. as planned. Telekom Baskets Bonn will start the fourth matchday on Thursday with their home game against Hamburg Towers (7 p.m.). 24 hours later, Oldenburg and newly promoted Niners Chemnitz face each other.

All other games take place later. There will be three games on Tuesday, December 8th: Syntainics MBC against FC Bayern Munich (7 p.m.), Basketball Löwen Braunschweig against Jobstairs Gieesen 46ers (8:30 p.m.) and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg against Alba Berlin (8:30 p.m.) are then on the schedule . The meeting between Rasta Vechta and medi Bayreuth begins on Wednesday, December 9th, at 7 p.m.

The reason for the transfers made by the BBL are the surrender of various national players from the Bundesliga for the EuroBasket qualification games. Vechta’s playmaker Stefan Peno (23), for example, was with the Serbian national team in Helsinki to play against Switzerland on Saturday and host Finland on Monday. The Guard is not expected back in Vechta until the afternoon of December 1st. However, the 23-year-old is only allowed to return to Germany with a negative corona test. In Vechta, the Serb first has to isolate himself from his teammates (not to be confused with a quarantine measure) and he will be tested again on Wednesday morning (December 2nd). Only if this finding is negative can Stefan Peno come back to Rasta team training, which could then be the case on Wednesday evening at the earliest. There are similar constellations with other teams.

Brose Bamberg will not play the Franconian duel against s.Oliver Würzburg until Wednesday, December 16. The match between the Fraport Skyliners and ratiopharm Ulm has not yet been scheduled.
