Rúben Ribeiro, a former Sporting player, was arrested at home on the 16th in Porto for domestic violence. He was questioned by a judge but was released on terms of identity and residency. The 35-year-old midfielder, who now plays in the Turkish league, was in any case forbidden to contact or approach the victim – the woman – and forced to use a remote control device (electronic surveillance).
