The Foreign Ministry explained the position of Kyiv on peace talks

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba

The main goal of Ukraine is to regain control over all its territories that the Russian Federation has occupied. The Ukrainian side has nothing more to discuss on this issue, said Dmitry Kuleba.

Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on a peaceful settlement are currently not ongoing. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba at a briefing on Wednesday, July 13.

“Currently, there are no negotiations between Russia and Ukraine due to the position of Russia and its ongoing aggression against our country,” the Foreign Minister replied.

Thus, the official commented on the question of whether Ukraine is ready to negotiate a peaceful settlement with Moscow, after the return of the sphere of control over the territory as of February 23, 2022.

According to the minister, “there is really nothing to discuss.”

“Ukraine’s goal in this war, imposed on us by Russia, is to liberate our territories and restore our territorial integrity and full sovereignty in the east and south of Ukraine. This is the end point of our negotiating position,” Kuleba stressed.

Recall that in the Office of the President of Ukraine consider it impossible to think about “saving the face of Russia” after the mass crimes of the Russian military in Bucha and Mariupol.

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak formulated the “achievements” of the Russians in the war against Ukraine.
