The Football Association confirmed the continuation of the dates of the league table matches, as mentioned in the previously announced schedule.
The Football Association confirmed in a statement that this comes in light of its conviction that the positive results of this large number in one team resulted from a failure to follow the due precautionary measures.
The union stated that it decided to allow the Egyptian club to make swabs for an additional number of team players who had not undergone previous swabs to give the team’s technical staff the opportunity to compensate for the absence of the injured, in order to preserve the regularity of the competition.
The swabs conducted for the Egyptian club team confirmed the positive results of 12 players.
Al-Masry announced the injury of 16 members of the team, including 12 players, and 4 members of the coaching staff.
Al-Masry played the Zamalek match last Thursday at the Burj Al Arab Stadium.
Al-Masry is preparing to face the border guards on Monday evening, within the 18th week of the league competition.
