The Florida Foundation and Labora train students in entrepreneurial skills

The Florida Foundation manages, together with the Department for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, the Labora Emprén Capacitació program, a program in which Labora and the Directorate General of Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives participate.

The objective of this program is to identify people with entrepreneurial concerns, evaluate their possible projects and support them in their creation and consolidation to promote entrepreneurship in the Valencian Community. In addition, the program is also developed in the Vocational Training Centers in the Master’s Degree Cycles. The idea is to encourage students to promote entrepreneurship as a path in their future work.

The participants, in addition to working on a business idea, also analyze their own entrepreneurial skills and abilities. To do this, a talent recognition tool has been created, through which a first feasibility filter is passed and help is created in a document that contains the basic aspects of a business idea.

Labora Emprén Capacitació aims at the socialization of entrepreneurship, as well as its initial stages. The program is very specific and is structured in two face-to-face sessions and one online. Once the program is over, people who want to start their entrepreneurial journey will be able to get advice from a club of specialized mentors. Likewise, they will be able to get help to establish themselves as a company through other programs such as Labora Emprén Cooperatiu or Labora Emprén Acompanyament.

To date, 16 workshops have been held in different municipalities in which more than 350 people have participated. However, it is intended to continue to expand the business and more workshops are planned. In Gandia it will take place on 8 and 21 November.
