Al-Marsad Newspaper: “Massad Al-Awfi”, the Emirati heart donor, told the story of the heart transplant operation at King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
Al-Awfi said, thank God they found a heart and the Specialized Hospital didn’t fail to take care of me.
He continued: “I had a weak heart muscle and a blockage in the arteries, and they told me the heart was almost dead and I needed a transplant.”
Massad Al-Awfi explained that he had been in the hospital for two months, waiting, before they found his heart in the Emirates and brought it here.
He stressed, I don’t know what would have happened to me if they hadn’t found the heart in the Emirates, and how I would have lived on an artificial heart! .
