A fire broke out in Adana Kozan’s Kuyubelli District in the forest area at noon. The fire grew rapidly with the effect of the wind. While the fire had been going on for hours, flames extended to the surrounding houses.

Due to forest fires in Kozan district, 3 more neighborhoods were evacuated in addition to Çürüklü, Celiluşağı and Çamçiler neighborhoods. The number of evacuated quarters increased to 6. It was stated that about 800 households were evacuated and the forest area damaged by the ongoing fire was over 150 hectares.
AIR RESPONSE INTERRUPTED
While the air intervention is suspended due to the dark weather, the teams coming from Adana and the surrounding provinces continue to extinguish the land. It has been reported that aircraft and helicopters will continue to intervene at the first light of the day.
