Without doubt one of the first caps of deconfinement. The fire on Tuesday morning around 3:40 a.m. of a heavy goods vehicle transporting paper on the A11 motorway just after Ablis (
Yvelines) in an east-west direction caused a traffic jam of about one kilometer, said Vinci Autoroutes, infrastructure manager.

The fire, whose origin remains unknown, did not claim any victims. “It is still underway because if it is largely under control, there are still small starts of fire due to the nature of the cargo,” explains Vinci Autoroutes. The firefighters and rescue workers are therefore always on site to “deal with the disaster”. The blocked cars were evacuated by a service access and the trucks by the left lane under escort of the police.

The motorway is therefore cut in the Paris-Chartres direction pending the repair of the roadway. A compulsory exit to Ablis has been set up, motorists are then invited to take the D910 to find the A11 at Chartres.
