The father of the Iranian atomic bomb was killed in an attack

AGI – A car that approaches that of the scientist and then the explosion. A script that has already been seen on Iranian roads and almost always the victim was a scientist involved in the ayatollahs’ nuclear program. This time it was one of the leading exponents who paid the price: Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, even defined as the “father of the Iranian bomb”.

According to Tehran, which took a long time to confirm the news, Fakhrizadeh would have been the victim of a terrorist attack. He was killed by a kamikaze attack carried out with a Nissan pick-up in the Damavand region, east of Tehran. He was seriously injured and then died in hospital.

The news began to circulate on Twitter and was then also relaunched by the Tasnim agency, close to the Pasdaran, but the spokesman of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Behrouz Kamalavandi, had denied by speaking with the official agency Isna. “All the scientists of the country’s nuclear industry are in perfect health and no one has been the victim of accidents”, he assured. But only to be denied a few hours later by the Fars agency that the attack took place in Absard, with a car driven by a kamikaze.

According to Israeli media, Fahrizadeh participated in the regime’s secret nuclear program and survived a Mossad bombing a few years ago. Fars herself recalled that the scientist was on the blacklist of the Israeli services. Fahrizadeh – included in the sanctions list of the UN Security Council – was also defined as the “Qassem Soleimani of nuclear power”, comparing him to the powerful general of the Quds forces, the special units of the Revolutionary Guards, killed in Baghdad by the Americans last January.

Fahrizadeh’s assassination comes on the eve of the anniversary of the murder of another high-profile Iranian nuclear scientist, Majid Shahriari, who died in a bombing in Tehran on November 29, 2010.

In the end, even the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami had to confirm what had happened, taking the opportunity to condemn “the hegemonic system assassinates our nuclear scientists to prevent us, by violence, from gaining access to modern sciences”.
