The fate of the naturalization of Rafael Struick and Zico Soree for the Under 20 national team

Jakarta

Two new generation players in the Indonesian Under-20 national team Raffaele Struick And Zico SoreeZico Soree is not necessarily naturalized. Their fate will be determined Shin Tae-yong.

Rafael and Zico join Training Camp (TC) Under 20 national team on November 19th. The two were also involved in four test matches for the Under-20 national team.

Even so, the status of both as hereditary players does not guarantee the PSSI that they will become Indonesian citizens through the naturalization process. Only truly qualified players to be recruited.

“We are still waiting for a letter from Shin Tae-yong, whether Rafael and Zico are OK or not. If OK, PSSI will follow up,” PSSI technical director Indra Sjafri told reporters.

Zico is a striker currently playing for PEC Zwolle U-21 in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Rafael is a winger for ADO Den Haag, a team playing in the second tier in the Netherlands.

Previously, PSSI has already brought Ivar Jenner and Justin Hubner to Indonesia. The two have also been involved in the U-20 TC national team since they were still in Turkey.

The two received a direct recommendation from Shin Tae-yong that he wanted them to join the U-20 national team. But for Rafael and Zico there will still be first consideration.

“The naturalization of the two players (Ivar and Justin) has been taken care of,” said Indra Sjafri.
