Actress Anne Heche, who was in a coma after a car accident, has died. Her friend Nancy Davis posted it on Instagram. In the accident, she suffered a severe anoxic brain injury, which was therefore deprived of oxygen. At the same time, the police said on Friday that preliminary blood tests revealed the presence of drugs in her body.
“Heaven has another angel,” Nancy Davis, a friend of actress Anne Heche, began her memorial message Friday. My loving, kind, funny, cute and beautiful friend Anne Heche has gone to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the wonderful memories we shared together,” Davis continued.
The star of the silver screen was in a critical condition before his death. “Unfortunately, due to the accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma and in critical condition. She is not expected to survive,” she said in a statement seen by the newspaper Daily Mirrorthe family of the actress.
The family plans to donate her organs. “She’s being kept alive by the machine to see if any of them are usable,” she explained. She also thanked the hospital staff in the statement.
At the same time, the police published the results of preliminary blood tests on Friday. According to them, she crashed when she had drugs in her system. However, further tests must be carried out so that the doctors can rule out that it is not just the drugs they gave her in the hospital, she pointed out BBC.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Heche crashed into a two-story house, then her car caught fire and a huge fire broke out. “A total of 59 firefighters took 65 minutes to reach the scene and put out the fire at the heavily damaged building,” described fire spokesman Brian Humphrey. He added that no one else was injured in the fire.
Heche celebrated her 53rd birthday in May. She appeared in films such as Shake the Dog with Dustin Hoffman, in the romantic comedy Six Days, Seven Nights with Harrison Ford, and also starred in the crime series Chicago Police.
