The fair that democratizes Art for Christmas

A Christmas classic from Vigo returns to A Laxe. The association of artists of Vigo and the region, Arterarte, recovers the tradition of the Christmas fair, with the inauguration of “Encrucilladas”, where they offer works by the studio at affordable prices, an artistic version of the market.

Works by Ana Padín, Áurea Pousa, Azpeitia, Caramés, Carmen Balbuena, Constantino González, David Cabaleiro, Diana Cordero, Iñaki Barturen, Jon Lerchunti, José Fervenza, L. Saavedra, Marisa Vázquez, Mayte Diz Neira, Mercedes González, Olga Varela, Pilar G. Mourín, Tania Ulloa and Teresa Vieitez with different styles. Each artist contributes two to three paintings and participates in the carpets with an original work on paper. With the idea of ​​favoring art as a gift, prices start at 50 euros.

Faces, landscapes, still lifes, traditional painting or urban spaces make up the proposals of “Encrucilladas”, where a variety of themes and techniques, among which pudding or engraving stand out, are unusual in this type of event.

The last Arterarte fair took place in 2019 and returns with this edition after the stop due to the pandemic. Local preview, in the old Desigual store, adapting to a room with a certain industrial aesthetic and invading the different rooms, with pieces also in the dressing rooms. The exhibition will remain open in the mall, except on January 25th and 1st and 6th.
