The head of the health portfolio, Dr. Rossana Chahla, led a meeting with authorities of the institution to analyze in depth the epidemiological situation of the province and plan new volunteers to provide support in the first level of health care.

The reference of the house of higher studies, doctor Mateo Martinez, commented that on this occasion he was accompanied by the pandemic monitoring committee that was created in March to strengthen cooperation alliances with the Provincial Health System in the face of the pandemic.

“We have reviewed the actions that we have been carrying out since the beginning with respect to therapeutic protocols, collaboration with the plasma bank, volunteering in different areas, and we are generating a new volunteer service where 250 students will give support in the first level of care ”, Assured Martínez.

In this sense, the doctor assured: “Volunteering will begin when the Ministry of Health of the Nation authorizes it, since students must have all the elements of personal protection, in addition to the previous training in regard to the proper use of the elements, and to the follow-up and detection of positive cases ”.

Finally, Martínez referred to the current situation at the academic level and explained that all the chairs are currently engaged in taking exams virtually and the possibility of returning to exams is being analyzed by the Health Emergencies Committee (COES) face-to-face, attentive to the epidemiological situation in the province.
