Musienko assumes that the enemy will try to resist the counteroffensive, but will lose.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out counter-offensive operations on the right bank of the Kherson area from two directions: north and west, in the future the pressure on the enemy will increase.
This forecast was voiced by military expert Alexander Musienko on the air. TSN.
He noted that the enemy can do nothing against the forces and means used by the Ukrainian army. In particular, we are talking about rocket artillery and drones.
“The logistics infrastructure, warehouses, command posts, control centers are being destroyed there now. The movement and replenishment of the Russian group of troops, which is located on the right-bank part of the Kherson region, are also excluded,” the expert said.
According to Musienko, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shown that they can hold virtually the entire right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region under fire control.
“Taking fire control of all logistics and crossings means that there is a potential in the future to completely cut off the Russian grouping of troops on the right-bank part of the Kherson region,” Musienko said.
He also stated that the occupiers in this region have three options:
- stay and resist in battle without support and logistics, which is a losing option;
According to Musienko, the Russians probably chose the first option.
As UNIAN previously reported, on July 19, the Ukrainian military hit the Antonovsky bridge in occupied Kherson, which connects the city with the left bank of the Dnieper.
In British intelligence they call the main vulnerability of the Russian army in the Kherson region the Antonovsky bridge. That is why control over the crossings across the Dnieper can become a key factor in the fighting in the Kherson region.
July 23 Armed Forces of Ukraine “with surgical precision” hit the Darevsky bridge across the Ingulets in the Kherson region. As of July 25 The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already taken control of several facilities transport infrastructure in the region.
