Ensure a concrete ecological transition in the department. This is the ambition displayed by the Eure-et-Loir Ecology movement. This new political formation held its general assembly of creation, this Sunday, March 7, 2021.
This departmental movement is a continuation of the Chartres Ecology list, which came second in the municipal elections in Chartres, and of the list presented in Eure-et-Loir during the last senatorial elections.

Jean-Bernard Gramunt, president of Eure-et-Loir Écologie and municipal councilor of Droue-sur-Drouette, evokes the vocation of this movement:
“This is the common house of environmentalists. The goal is to bring together Euréliens who wish to promote alternation and ecological transition in our department. So that Eure-et-Loir is an ecological, citizen and united territory . “

Candidates for departmental
Eure-et-Loir Écologie brings together well-known Eurelian political actors, such as Estelle Cochard, regional adviser Europe-Écologie-Les Verts (EELV) and head of the “Eure-et-Loir Écologie” list in the last senatorial elections, but also local elected officials with without label, associative activists or even “citizens inserted or not”.
“We are part of the EELV and Génération Écologie movements,” stresses Estelle Cochard, spokesperson for the movement. Concretely, ecology is organized in the department. We are a collective, a tool to get things done. The results of the last municipal elections, in Chartres for example, but also elsewhere, encourage us and indicate that there is a demand. “

This new movement intends to lead the battle of ideas during the regional and departmental elections, scheduled for June 13 and 20, 2021. Eure-et-Loir Écologie is part of the rally led by Charles Fournier (EELV) for the regional elections.
Regarding the departmental, Gérard Leray, spokesperson, indicates: “Our department has been managed by the right since 1986, we need a real alternative. Our ambition is to present candidates in each of the fifteen cantons of Eure-et-Loir, at least in those concerned by the route of the A154. “
Against the A154
The fight against the concession project of the current RN154 is, in fact, the workhorse of Eure-et-Loir Écologie for this election. “We want to definitively abandon the A154 project and develop alternative transport. This is a crucial point. There is still time to stop this project, ”says Gérard Leray.
The movement intends to rely on a program focused on ecological transition, local governance, territorial solidarity and the fight against inequalities. Eure-et-Loir Écologie has also created a website (ecologie28.fr) to present its initiatives.
