The Entente Cordiale was born in Bordeaux in 1895

Bordeaux and its wine have played a significant role in the very long and difficult history of establishing peaceful relations between France and its royal neighbor across the Channel, a matter materialized by the Entente Cordiale, signed on April 8. 1904 between the two countries.
