The (embarrassing) story of the soldier degraded by PS5

PS5 has been available since last November in both America and Europe, generating a wave of really surprising enthusiasm, to the point that the console’s stocks seem to have run out in a matter of days.

Now, however, from the United States of America a quite unique and at times really embarrassing story has arrived (via Task and Purpose).

A soldier of the Space Force, a special department dedicated to US space operations, has been demoted (from Senior Airman to Airman 1st Class) for arriving late after trying for several hours to get hold of a PlayStation 5 on various online stores.

The soldier, a member of one of the five US armed forces, in fact, he showed up thirty minutes late for an important training session, something that did not go unnoticed in the eyes of his superiors.

The man, however, seems to have taken the “lecture” of his superior quite well, replying that “you only live once, PlayStation 5 is more important than a recall letter“.

Here is the official Air Force note published a few hours later on social media:

You arrived late for work and implied to your supervisor that buying a PlayStation is more important to you than the consequences of your actions, which are far from the professionalism we expect of you as a member of the military.

At this point, we are curious to know which game the fearless soldier has dedicated himself to immediately after putting his hand on his much-desired PS5.

PS5 is available in Europe starting from November 19th this year in two versions: the first with an optical reader and a second Only Digital capable of reading only games downloaded in digital format.
