The Egyptian Football Association stressed that it is in the process of making strong decisions after the abusive events that took place after the end of the Egyptian Super match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which the latter decided with a penalty shootout in Abu Dhabi.
The Federation said in an official statement that “the disciplinary committee will study well the events of the match and the offensive statements after reviewing the reports of the observer and the coordinator of the match, and will face this in proportion to the decisions that preserve the prestige of Egyptian football, which was the focus of the attention of the Arab world in a major sports festival.”
A fight erupted between the players of the two teams immediately after the match, whose original time ended in a 0-0 tie, before Zamalek decided the match with a penalty shootout.
Zamalek won the Egyptian Super Title for the fourth time in its history.
The Egyptian Federation thanked the UAE, which hosted the important confrontation between the two teams
