The three procedures are related to waste

Today, the European Commission (EC) took a decision to close three criminal proceedings from the Circular Economy package, the Ministry of Ecology announced.
These are procedures in the field of waste and in particular related to the implementation in our national legislation of the European requirements under the Waste Framework Directive, in relation to packaging waste, as well as specific waste from end-of-life vehicles, batteries and accumulators and such. from electrical and electronic equipment.
The Commission’s decisions also include that Bulgaria has not established a system for monitoring invasive alien species by 13 January 2018 and has not prepared and implemented an action plan in this area by 13 July 2019. For this reason, it is launched new criminal proceedings against our country and 17 other EU member states – Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia.
