On Saturday at 9 a.m., a Dutch maintenance company working on behalf of the provincial government of Limburg accidentally demolished the beaver dam in the Vrietselbeek in Lanklaar. The employees of the company were not aware that the beaver dam had already been demolished earlier in the week. The beavers had already partially rebuilt their beaver dam after one night. This protected beaver dam was not allowed to be demolished, but was nevertheless completely cleaned up on Saturday.
