The findings have been published in the journal Cretaceous Research recently with the title “A new dromaeosaurid dinosaur from the Wessex Formation (Lower Cretaceous, Barremian) of the Isle of Wight, and implications for European palaeobiogeography“.
Velociraptor this newly discovered one is named Vectiraptor greeni named after local collector Mick Green who found the bones after being swept from rocks on the island’s south coast. This fossil is a relative velociraptor, an older, heavier-bodied predator.
