In short, WiFi is the easiest way to connect to the internet. Devices such as smartphones or laptops have WiFi features so they can connect to the internet without using a cellular operator’s network.
Well, MiFi is a portable modem or commonly called a WiFi modem. MiFi modems can be carried around, can transmit WiFi networks so that they can help several devices connect to the internet at the same time.
Actually, the features that MiFi has are the same when you tether on your cellphone so that the laptop can connect to the internet. The difference is, MiFi uses a standalone device that has a battery embedded in it, as well as a SIM card slot to become an internet service provider.

The difference between MiFi and WiFi
The MiFi device consists of a portable modem, a SIM card with an active data plan, and a data cable for charging. MiFi will broadcast a WiFi network that other devices can use.
Because MiFi is portable and can be used by many devices at once, this WiFi modem is used for certain purposes.
For example, when traveling abroad. Instead of having to buy a new card in the destination country or register for international roaming services, it is more practical and cheaper to bring MiFi from Indonesia. Especially if you are traveling with several people at once.
Regarding internet speed, MiFi devices are very dependent on the 4G/5G cellular network they are using. This is also different from fixed broadband networks such as home WiFi which tend to be stable.
