The difference between the power of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X does not matter

Mike Moreton, the lead designer of the Dirt 5 racing game, argues that the difference between the power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X graphics chips does not really matter.

– It has no effect on game production and gameplay mechanics. It can only mean that on one of the platforms you will need to do a little less work in terms of optimizing and grinding the title – explains developer in conversation with GamingBolt.

The performance of the Xbox Series X graphics chip is around 12 teraflops, while in the case of the PlayStation 5 the GPU power is 10.28 teraflops.

The next-generation consoles will go on sale next month – the Sony device will debut on November 19, and Microsoft will be out on November 10. The company from Redmond is preparing an even cheaper and weaker version of its own platform, i.e. the Xbox Series S.
