The developers of Gran Turismo 7 are considering porting the game to PC

Gran Turismo 7 could be one of the next PlayStation exclusives to be brought to PC, according to series creator Kazunori Yamauchi. According to him, the Polyphony studio is already considering such a possibility, but so far there are no details.

In conversation with GT Planet at the Grand Turismo World Finals, Yamauchi hinted that a future port could not be ruled out in the near future.

Gran Turismo is a finely tuned title. Not many platforms are able to support native 4K at 60fps, so the only option is to focus on the platform. The topic is not simple, but we are obviously studying the matter.

Gran Turismo 7 was released in early March, but it’s not a full-fledged next-gen title, as the game was also released on PS4. However, even the lags and other technical issues faced by players haven’t been as frustrating as the aggressive microtransaction model.

As for potential nearby ports, there have been rumors of a PC version of Returnal for a long time. If Gran Turismo really commits to porting, the release could happen in the next year or two.
