In the past four weeks, 200 biologically confirmed cases have been identified in 21 of the 32 municipalities in the archipelago. North of Grande-Terre and part of the leeward coast have not recorded any biological cases. For the first time since the start of the epidemic, no case domiciled in Capesterre de Marie-Galante has been confirmed biologically. The cities of Saint-François, Le Gosier, Saint-Louis and Grand Bourg still have the highest incidences.
An increase in the number of emergency department visits for suspected dengue fever was observed last week with 23 visits (compared to 7 the previous week). Among these passages, 2 required hospitalization. Since the start of the epidemic, 166 emergency room visits have been recorded, 33 of which required hospitalization, or 20% of visits.
