Russia has begun supplying Serbia of short-range Pantsir-S short-range air defense systems, said Interfax Russian source. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Serbia informed that the supply of “Shell” has begun.
The agency’s source said that the contract provides for the supply of six Panzir-S complexes to Serbia. The fact that the delivery of the complexes is expected at the end of February was known.
In November last year, the President of Serbia, Alexander Vučić, said that the country would strengthen its air defense with the help of the Pantsir-S air defense missile system, it was about buying one complex. Director General of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev promised that Russia would supply Serbia with the Pantsir-S air defense missile system “in the coming months.”
