A YouTuber named Sarina Esmailzabeh and another woman named Nika Shakarami allegedly died at the age of 16. Numerous media outlets reported that their lives ended up in the hands of the security forces. Both are said to have been beaten to death when they took part in a demonstration to protest the death of Mahsa Amini.

Sarina Esmailzabeh is an Iranian YouTuber who took part in a protest in the city of Karaj last month. She the teenager took to the streets to fight for the death of Mahsa Amini, the woman who allegedly died because she was tortured by the moral police for violating the rules of the hijab. She was one of three women who died at the hands of the authorities because they wanted to defend women’s rights.

Sarina’s death has received attention on social media and internationally. Dua Lipa in his tweet shared his concern about the departure of Sarina and two other women, Nika Shakarami, who died after being beaten for burning a hijab and Hadis Najafi, who was also shot dead during a manifestation.

Despite reports that the three died at the hands of the security forces, the government does not admit that they were killed as a result of the protests. Alborz provincial justice department head Hossein Fazeli said Sarina committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a neighbor’s house. Meanwhile, Nika is said to have died from a fall.

After the news went viral the next day, a woman named Sarina’s mother appeared on the news and said her son was not killed. She also said the teenager had already attempted suicide. But one activist said that if she were just an actress not Sarina’s parents.

Mahsa Amini’s death still arouses several protests, especially from other young women who do not hesitate to take to the streets. It was reported that many students and women sang “Women, Life, Freedom” on the streets while taking off and waving the hijab. Unfortunately, the action had an impact.

The Iranian government itself claimed that an investigation had been carried out and that Mahsa Amini, who died on September 16, would die of an old disease. But the family said the deceased had no history of any illness.
