Andrej Babiš Jr., son of the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, is determined to file criminal charges against his father, writes the Czech newspaper Denik.

“I was a victim of a crime and my father must be held accountable for what he dared to do to me,” Babis Jr. told Czech media. transmits BGNES.

He accuses his father of involving him in a case of alleged misuse of European Union funds just a month before the Czech parliamentary elections. He also says he was held in Crimea against his will to prevent him from testifying in the case. The prime minister has denied the allegations, calling his son mentally ill.

Czech police questioned Babis Jr. on Thursday. She presented an expert opinion stating that he had no mental health problems.

The Czech prime minister is suspected of illegally receiving 2m euros from EU funds for a conference center called the Stork Farm. In June 2021, police inspectors recommended that criminal charges be brought against him, but the Attorney General returned the case to the police for further investigation, so the case remained open. Babish continues to deny the allegations.
