There are probably not too many companies in the world that specialize in the conversion and production of buses and turn them into off-road machines. One of these originally comes from Ukraine, has its global headquarters in Prague 1 and reveals its latest work.
Torsus has introduced its new model, the Terrastorm, an extreme minibus that can carry up to 21 passengers. The car is based on a Volkswagen Crafter with all-wheel drive. In Torsus, however, they also added off-road suspension, which increased the ground clearance.

At the Volkswagen, the all-wheel-drive Crafter is offered with a standard 177-horsepower diesel two-cylinder four-cylinder engine from VW and can be fitted with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed DSG automatic transmission. But Torsus did not say if this would apply to Terrastorm.
The minibus will be offered in different configurations and specifications for different customers. It will probably often be companies that use the car mainly in the field. There aren’t too many machines that can get 21 people at once practically everywhere the driver goes.
“In the all-new Terrastorm, we demonstrate our ambition to set new standards in the market for large 4×4 minibuses across some of the most demanding industries known to man,” said Torsus CEO Vakhtang Dzhukashvili.
Inside, according to the trailer, we can also find racing seat belts.
