The “Culture of a Digital City” association awards scholarships in Darmstadt

DIt has been three years since the “Culture of a Digital City” association was formed. What he has achieved in Darmstadt since then is impressive. Not only was he the first to put culture on the agenda of the digital city of Darmstadt, which was created with a lot of media hype and which, apart from discussion areas such as mobility, energy efficiency and the like, had been little talked about up to that point.

Basically, it is also thanks to the commitment of the initiative that a fresh wind, invigorating the city’s creative scene, is blowing over the New Artists’ Colony on Darmstadt’s Rosenhöhe, which was founded after the Second World War. And an idea is being worked on for what it should stand for in the future. Because here, in one of the studio buildings where artists such as Wilhelm Loth, Karl Krolow, Georg Hensel and Gabriele Wohmann lived, the association now has its place and enriches the Darmstadt cultural program with exhibitions, readings, salons and workshops.
