The Cuenca County Council subsidizes 39 localities for the hiring of administrative assistants | Radio 90 Motilla

The Diputación de Cuenca has published the resolution of the aid by which 39 small city councils of Cuenca have improved public assistance in the last year. The Official Gazette of the Province has made public this grant endowed with 70,000 euros and that has allowed the hiring of administrative assistants in towns with less than 500 inhabitants.

The Deputy for Technical Assistance to Local Entities, Carlos Muelas, has highlighted the importance of these grants for many councils that have difficulties to hire staff, something that greatly hinders the regular operation of the council and reduces the attention that citizens receive. The person in charge of this area has stated that these grants allow all the Cuenca city councils are open for a few hours a week and can answer questions or queries from neighbors.

The amount of aid varies depending on the hours each professional is hired and range between 1,500 and 2,300 euros. The towns that have received this aid are: El Acebrón, Albalate de las Nogueras, Albendea, Almonacid del Marquesado, Arcos de la Sierra, Beamud, Buciegas, Buenache de la Sierra, Castillejo de Iniesta, Castillejo de la Sierra, Castillejo del Romeral, Chumillas, Fresneda de la Sierra, Fuentes, Gascueña, Iniesta farm, El Hito, Huélamo, Olmeda de la Cuesta, Olmeda del Rey, Osa de la Vega, Palomera, Pozoamargo, Pozorrubio de Santiago, Puebla de Almenara, Saelices, Santa Cruz de Moya, Solera de Gabaldón, Tébar, Torrejoncillo del Rey, Torrubia del Campo, Tragacete, Uña, Vega del Codorno, Vellisca, Villalba de la Sierra, Villar del Infantado and Villar y Velasco.
