The Crisis Center invites employers to again prioritize teleworking to fight the coronavirus

To combat the second wave of coronavirus, the Crisis Center has taken a whole series of measures aimed at limiting contacts and therefore the possibilities of transmission from one person to another.

But there is one that seems to have been little heard: the invitation to once again favor telework. “Why? Because sin the workplace, it is difficult to limit contact, explained Antoine Iseux from the Crisis Center, during the coronavirus press conference. Today theTeleworking is strongly recommended, it is even compulsory, unless this is not possible, in the province of Antwerp, because it allows us to limit our contacts“.

In March and April, many worked from home. If it was possible then, then it must be possible today. We therefore encourage employers to organize as much telework as possible, so as to limit contact in the workplace, but also on public transport. Where this is not possible, guides have been drawn up with guidelines in terms of hygiene, distancing and customer reception, which can be found on the site. info-coronavirus.be

The Crisis Center also insists that no one takes the risk of coming to work while sick: “Do not hesitate to stay at home if you feel the slightest symptom, you will be doing your colleagues or your employer a disservice if you come and infect your colleagues on your way to work. By staying at home and contacting your family doctor, you will take care of your health and, on the contrary, be of service to everyone.“.
