The Unreal Engine of the fifth generation introduced itself to us some time ago and attracted beautiful graphics, which will be used by new generation games. Microsoft’s leading studio, The Coalition, responsible for modern parts of the Gears of War action series, for example, announced its transition to a new generation of engine and released two technical demonstrations with what they will actually work with.
The first video first appeared at this year’s GDC event and shows the work of the engine with light, shadows and particle effects. The second video then focuses on rendering the characters and faces of the new generation with detailed beards, wrinkles and the reflection of the environment in the eyes through ray tracing.
We therefore assume that Unreal Engine 5 and all its latest technologies will be used by the studio in its upcoming projects, whether it is another part of Gears of War or a completely new brand.
