news/101439/Sozdateli_Cyberpunk_2077_vypustili_5-minutnoe_obraschenie_i_plan_na_2021_god.html"> CD Project released a 5-minute appeal to players, where the founder and head of the company, Marcin Ivinsky, talks point by point about the current situation with Cyberpunk 2077, while promising to fix all the problems and achieve the required quality.-

The appeal was named “Our commitment to quality».

First, Ivinsky talked about the problems with the console versions. According to him, the studio to the last “fought for quality” on PS4 and Xbox One, and many of the difficulties that players faced after the release, came as a surprise to the team.

The main problem for consoles has become object streaming due to slow hard drives and weak processors. The studio first made Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, and then began to port it to consoles. However, the process turned out to be more complicated than the developers expected.

As a result, CD Projekt RED has been constantly working to improve streaming.

Secondly, the journalists were sent the keys to the console versions of the game a couple of days before the release, just because they worked on them until the last moment. No attempt is made to hide the project state on these platforms.

Thirdly, the company is now focused on fixing Cyberpunk 2077 – three hotfixes have already been released, and the first major update will appear in the next 10 days. Then, a few more weeks later, an even bigger patch will come out.

Fourthly, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of the game are now scheduled for 2021, but you shouldn’t expect them until the second half of the year. And, apparently, the first paid add-on will not be released until 2022.

Plan for 2021

At the same time, the company is working on the early return of Cyberpunk 2077 to the PS Store.
