SINTANG, KOMPAS.com – Head of the Health Service West Kalimantan (West KalimantanHarisson said, there was an increase in the number of cases of the corona virus or Covid-19 in the Regency Sintang.

To date, of the 32 isolation rooms for Covid-19 patients at the Ade M Djoen Sintang Regional General Hospital (RSUD), 30 of them have been filled.

“We have seen that the isolation room at the Ade M Djoen Sintang Regional Hospital is almost full, there are about 32 isolation rooms prepared, 30 of which are filled,” said Harisson to reporters, Friday (16/4/2021) afternoon.

Previously, Governor of West Kalimantan Sutarmidji asked Harisson to directly monitor the handling of Covid-19 in Sintang Regency.

“I went to Sintang on the direct order of the governor, my team and I monitored Sintang,” said Harrison.

During the visit, the West Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team also brought medicine and hazmat assistance.

As is known, since the pandemic until Wednesday (4/14/2021), the total number of Covid-19 cases in West Kalimantan was 6,585 people. A total of 5,898 people or 89.56 percent of them have been declared cured.

“35 people died or 0.53 percent,” concluded Harisson.
