The court does not plan to hold a hearing – the judgment will be published on the official website of the court.

The Amsterdam Court of Appeal postponed the date of the announcement of the decision in the case of the ownership of the Scythian gold collection. Now it is planned to announce it on October 26, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emina Dzhaparova in Twitter Friday, September 3rd.

“The Amsterdam Court of Appeal has postponed the date of the decision on the case on the return of exhibits from the Crimea. Golden Island in the Black Sea exhibition to October 26 this year,” she wrote.

Japarova expressed hope that the Court of Appeal will confirm decision of the District Court of Amsterdam from 2016 on the return of Scythian gold to Ukraine

As a reminder, in May it was reported that the court will make a final decision on Scythian gold on September 14. At the same time, the judges will not conduct the session – the court decision will be published on the official website of the court.

As a reminder, at the beginning of 2014, the collection of Scythian gold was donated for an exhibition at the Allard Pearson Museum in Amsterdam. At the time of the exhibition, Crimea was captured by Russian troops. Since then, the rights to Scythian gold have been disputed in court.

We are talking about a collection of unique archaeological treasures: weapons, precious stones, valuable Chinese lacquered boxes, gold jewelry of the Scythians. One of the precious examples of the exhibition is an ancient Scythian helmet, which is over 2.4 thousand years old. The cost of the entire exposition is estimated at over one million euros.
