The corona infection visited Sommarland in Bø

On Tuesday, Midt-Telemark municipality was contacted by the infection tracking group in another municipality in Eastern Norway with information about a resident from their municipality, with a positive covid-19 test, had been in Bø. This is stated by the municipality in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.

The person was on a day visit to Bø Sommarland on Sunday and on Monday the person tested positive. The infected person has only stayed in the park.

The municipality states that the person should not have had symptoms and is thus considered to be less contagious.

– In addition, Bø Sommarland has had extensive and good infection control measures in the park. The risk of infection in the park is therefore relatively low, says municipal chief physician Kristin Sekse in the press release.

Bø Sommarland is in the process of contacting all the guests who had pre-booked tickets and work is underway to contact everyone who was at work that day.

Rene Langeveld Sas states that the park was not fully booked and that day visitors who had not pre-booked can relate to information given in a press release from the municipality.
