Coordinator of the Litexpo Vaccination Center Darius Ulickas, when asked about queues by the portal Delfi, said: “The registrars are actually working at full capacity, but we are not able to get vaccinated. Also, there is now a cold period.

The duration of vaccination has not changed since the summer, but since a lot of older people are now getting vaccinated, that process of getting undressed and getting dressed really takes a long time. “The queues are certainly not delayed, but the process itself is very long.”

However, the interviewee was pleased that the people waiting for the vaccine were not angry. They see the situation and understand why it happened.

D. Ulickas reminded that there are more vaccination centers in Vilnius, not only Litexpo. In total, there are already over 50 vaccination sites in the capital.

“If there is an opportunity to register elsewhere, it is better to do so. Of course, Litexpo is the most convenient place to get vaccinated, but the capacity is the same, ”said the interlocutor.

Following the announcement of a booster dose of coronavirus vaccine, the flow of vaccinees has increased significantly. Approximately 2.5,000 people are vaccinated each day at the Litexpo vaccination center. people who had previously received a thousand fewer vaccinations.

Especially many people prefer to be vaccinated on Fridays and Mondays.

The Litexpo vaccination center has a total of 26 vaccination booths. Twenty are currently working, according to D. Ulickas, because some vaccinators have fallen ill.

Vaccination is possible not only on weekdays, but also on weekends. Starting this weekend, the Litexpo Vaccination Center is extending its opening hours. The vaccination center will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 7 pm on weekends.

Vilnius residents are asked to register for the vaccine in advance by calling the Hotline at 1808 or online www.1808.lt. Pre-registration allows for smoother distribution of traffic and capacity planning.

Residents who have registered for the vaccine but are unable to come are also asked to cancel their registration so that another person can register at that location.

Vaccination sites closest to home or work can be found on the website vakcina.vilnius.lt. All of them can receive a booster dose of COVID-19 free of charge at a convenient time by registering with the contact number provided by the institution.
