‘The Conjuring‘ HBO Max Series Adds ‘Tiny Stunning things’ Showrunner Nancy Won

nancy Won will serve as showrunner and‌ executive producer for the​ long-in-growth⁣ drama series⁢ based on The Conjuring film franchise at​ HBO Max, Deadline has confirmed. The hiring signals a significant step forward​ for the project, initially announced in ‌April 2023, as it moves closer too production.

The series aims to expand the narrative​ established in‍ the nine films of The Conjuring universe, including the‌ recent The Conjuring: Last rites, which achieved the ‌biggest horror opening weekend worldwide on September 5. With a dedicated ⁤fanbase and a proven track record at the box⁢ office, the HBO Max ‍series represents a key expansion of the franchise ‌into television,⁤ offering a new avenue⁢ for storytelling⁢ within the established lore.

Joining Won⁣ as writers ‌are Peter Cameron and Cameron Squires, both with experience on Marvel series Agatha All⁤ Along ⁢and WandaVision. The project is a collaboration⁢ between ‍Warner Bros.
