The Commander asks the Military Judge to Maintain the Good Name and Marwah of the TNI

TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto ask military judges to maintain good name and dignity TNI. Even though they work outside the TNI institution, officers are asked not to forget their duties and obligations as soldiers.

This was conveyed by Marshal Hadi when giving briefings to the high ranking officers (pati) and middle officers (pamen) of the TNI who served in the environment. Supreme Court (MA). The briefing was held virtually from TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Wednesday (4/11/2020).

“For military judges who carry out their duties and obligations, very heavy rules apply. Because, in addition to maintaining the authority and dignity of a military court, a military judge must also maintain the good name and dignity of the TNI,” said Marshal Hadi when giving briefings such as written in the statement by the TNI Puspen.

The TNI commander also mentioned soldiers who violated the law. For TNI soldiers who commit violations while carrying out their duties, these soldiers must submit to the powers of the military court. Hadi said that law enforcement and justice are inseparable aspects of judicial administration.

“TNI pati and pamen who serve in the Supreme Court are the executors of the noble mandate to uphold justice for TNI soldiers. As regulated in Law Number 31 of 1997 concerning Military Justice, the existence of military justice is in order to support the success of the TNI’s main duties,” said the TNI Commander.

Hadi said the military court is the executor of judicial power within the TNI to uphold law and justice by taking into account the interests of the administration of state defense and security. He said it was the duty of military judges to maintain the honor and dignity and behavior as stipulated in statutory regulations.

“Officers must implement concretely and consistently these moral principles, both in carrying out their judicial duties and outside of their judicial duties. Because this is closely related to efforts to uphold law and justice by taking into account the interests of national defense,” said Marshal Hadi.
