A survivor of Japanese military’comfort women’ victim Bok-soo Jung passed away on the morning of the 12th, the comfort women victim support facility’House of Sharing’ reported. Accordingly, the number of survivors among the comfort women victims registered with the Korean government decreased from 16 to 15.
Grandma Jung has been living in the House of Sharing since 2013. At the age of 98 this year, he is the oldest survivor of comfort women.
The House of Sharing said, “According to the will of the grandmother and the bereaved family, the funeral is held privately as a Christian family leader, and detailed information such as grandmother’s deeds is not disclosed.”
