The CNDH and the Mediator of the Kingdom work together

Signed by the Mediator of the Kingdom, Mohamed Benalilou and the President of the CNDH Amina Bouayach, this convention aims to strengthen joint action in favor of the consolidation of the culture of law and obligation and to consolidate education in human rights. It is also a question of holding regular working sessions, with a view to discussing questions of common interest, to deepen the dialogue and to examine the means of handling cases according to the competence of each party.

The two parties also undertake to organize study days, meetings and seminars on issues of common interest, able to exchange experiences and expertise in training, internships and treatment of complaints.

This agreement also aims to provide supervision and assistance for carrying out research and studies, to organize training sessions for executives from both parties and to exchange publications, with a view to sharing knowledge and computer experiences. and statistical methodologies related to the handling of complaints and appeals.

On this occasion, a point of contact for the institution of the Mediator of the Kingdom was inaugurated, within the headquarters of the Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH), with the aim of initiate the prospects of cooperation in all matters relating to citizens’ complaints and the major issues that will be dealt with.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Benalilou indicated that this convention is the realization of a constitutional will which places the two institutions among the instances of human rights protection and governance.

In addition, the Mediator of the Kingdom underlined that the creation of a point of contact in this part of the Kingdom supports his involvement in the development of the human rights process, in accordance with the requirements of advanced regionalization and the objectives of the new development model.

For her part, Ms. Bouayach underlined the importance of this convention which will ensure convergence between the two institutions in the protection of persons injured by administrative measures, noting that this convergence will make it possible to define a clear vision of the problems from which citizens suffer. In the region. She also expressed her pride in the establishment of the Office of the Mediator of the Kingdom within the CRDH, given that the two institutions have the ambition to carry out joint action in favor of the guidance and protection of citizens, through the promotion of the redress mechanism.

The signing of this agreement was marked by the presence of the wali of the region, Lamine Benomar, the governor of the province of Aousserd, Abderrahaman El Jaouhari, the president of the court of first instance of Oued Eddahab, Redouane Farih, the prosecutor of King near the same jurisdiction, Said Boutouil, and the president of the CRDH, Maimouna Essayed.
