“We’ve been a bit late in the heat lately because of the Champions League, COVID issues and this year after the Euros there have been a lot of absences,” City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne told the club’s official website.
“After the international break we started to win games and the schedule in December is a lot of games in a row,” continued the Belgium international midfielder.
“We’ve won everything, so we’re on a good run and have a bit of an advantage, but we want to try to keep it,” said De Bruyne.
Victory over Chelsea could make Manchester City more difficult to catch in the Premier League standings. City now lead with 53 points, 10 ahead of second-placed Chelsea.
